JHSD Parents Association Logo

The Jones Haywood Parent Association (JHPA) is an inclusive body of parents, faculty, alumni, and students committed to preserving the legacy of the Jones Haywood School of Ballet (JHSB) and its founders, Doris Jones and Claire Haywood. The JHPA's focus and role is to cultivate, enrich, and inform students about arts education. Whether we are attending performances at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, planning and preparing for out of town travel for our students to attend dance-related workshops and events, or customizing the details for the school’s camping trip and sleepovers -- the Parent Association is always working behind the scenes. Our goal is to ensure our students receive every opportunity to explore the arts through the spectrum of dance; and if the occasion permits we like to have fun, too. Each year, the JHPA pushes the boundaries and challenges itself by seeking ways to raise the bar for our students. We invite you to take a look at our newsletters to see how involved and active we are.

We also invite you to visit with us because we, the JHPA, are convinced that the Jones Haywood School of Dance will impress and exceed your expectations with its dance curriculum.  Jones Haywood is committed to the community it serves, and we always looking for ways to improve and serve the community better – if you have any suggestions, recommendations, or commendations send them to joneshaywoodpta@gmail.com.
